West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals is floating after last night’s Europa League win against Sevilla.
Now into the quarterfinals, Fornals insists they can win the competition.
He said, “We have been dreaming a lot in the last two seasons, and why stop?
“I think we had a full week – well, three days, because we played again [against Aston Villa] at the weekend – but we knew we could do it.
“It’s what we did through the week: we tried to learn about the mistakes we committed in Seville, and this helped us to win tonight.
“Probably nobody would think we’d win against Sevilla because they’ve won the tournament six times in ten years, but when we came from Seville just 1-0 down, I already knew we would have chances to do it.”
The goalscorer also said: “It’s another good game when I had the chance to start and help the team, to grow around the game, with the game, and I’m really happy because I finished the last minutes in a great shape.
“That’s why I’m working inside the pitch and off the pitch to arrive at these moments at a great level, not just physically, mentally as well.”
