UEFA Champions League quarter-final and semi-final draws: All you need to know

The UEFA Champions League will be entering the quarter-final stage once the round of 16 action concludes next week.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich became the first two teams to qualify for the last eight following their success on Tuesday night.

Bayern put seven past RB Salzburg to qualify with an 8-2 aggregate, while Liverpool survived a scare as they edged Inter Milan 2-1 on aggregate.

The draw for the latter stages of the competition will be done later this month, and here is all we know.

Date and time

  • The 2021/22 UEFA Champions League quarter-final, semi-final, and final draws will be conducted on Friday 18 March at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

How the draw works

The draw will set the ties for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and a draw will also be held to determine the ‘home’ team for the final, for procedural reasons.

The draws are open, so there is no seeding or country protection. Any team can be drawn against any other team.
