Nice are through to the final of the Coupe de France – and it’s mainly thanks to the talented Amine Gouiri.
If you’re not familiar with the 22-year-old, don’t worry. You will be in the coming years.
Gouiri is one of the biggest talents in French football, playing 15 times for France U21s. And he showed exactly why he’s so highly rated with his performance in the semi-final against fourth-tier minnows Versailles on Tuesday night.

After a goalless first half, Gouiri opened the scoring with a fine strike just minutes into the second half.
But it was his assist for Kasper Dolberg with less than 20 minutes remaining that made everyone sit up and take notice.
Gouiri picked up the ball 25 yards out from goal but was surrounded by three opponents. However, in one incredible piece of skill, he produced a pirouette and escaped the challenge of all three. It was now two vs one and Gouiri had the presence of mind to play the perfect pass to Dolberg, who applied the finish.

Incredible.
Here is how fans have been reacting to the video – and the assist:
Nice will now play Nantes or Monaco in the final, which will be played on 8 May at the Stade de France.
Nice haven’t won the French Cup since 1997 but will fancy their chances of changing that after previously beating Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille so far in this season’s competition.
