📝 Previews

🏟 Napoli vs Barcelona

The first leg was a classic example of a match that “contained two halves” with Napoli dominating the opening exchanges and Barça turning the screw after the break, to the extent that the Italians found themselves hanging on for dear life in the dying stages of the second stanza. Victor Osimhen’s running of the channels was a constant nuisance for the Barça backline, but now Napoli’s rearguard will need to prepare themselves for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who recently became the first player in the 21st century to score a hat-trick in Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, the Premier League, and LaLiga. We should be in for another feast of end-to-end football with both sides possessing a range of counter-attacking weapons in their ranks.

👉 TIP: Over 2.5 goals

🏟 Randers vs Leicester

Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes have forgotten how to keep clean sheets. Strangely, their last shutout was against Liverpool, of all people, on December 28th last year. We can see them conceding here though against a Randers side that will have to go all out from the first whistle. Leicester won the first leg 4-1, and it would be a disaster if they didn’t progress from here to the next round of the Europa Conference League.

👉 TIP: Both teams to score

🏟 Real Sociedad vs RB Leipzig

Leipzig attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku is in the form of his life. He scored a brace at the weekend in the Bundesliga, he found the net in the first leg against Real Sociedad, and he has scored in six of his last eight games. Overall, the 24-year-old Frenchman has 22 goals in 33 matches in all competitions this season. With Leipzig looking like a seriously coherent attacking unit under new boss Domenico Tedesco, we can see them causing serious problems for La Real again this evening in San Sebastián.

👉 TIP: Leipzig to score over 1.5 goals

🏟 Rangers vs Dortmund

The visitors have to come out all guns blazing if they are to overturn a 4-2 aggregate scoreline from the first leg. Dortmund did put six past Monchengladbach at the weekend so they’ll be quietly confident that they can outscore their Scottish opponents here, but whether or not that’s enough for them to progress is another matter. Although Erling Haaland is not available, BVB can always turn to the evergreen star quality of club captain Marco Reus to try and get them out of a sticky situation. Dutchman Donyell Malen has also looked the part up top in Haaland’s absence. There will be goals.

👉 TIP: Over 3.5 goals
