Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits president Florentino Perez is upset after defeat to PSG.
Real lost the first-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie 1-0.
The Italian has been singled out for criticism for the way he set up his Real Madrid team in Paris, with many even implying that his job is under threat.
Speaking to the media ahead of the LaLiga Santander clash with Alaves, Ancelotti admits that he has spoken with president Florentino.
“I have spoken with the president, with everyone in the club, and they are hurt just like we are,” he said at his press conference.
“The [team’s] image was not good. The least of our problems is the result because it can be changed, to tell the truth. What was worse was our display.
“The [criticism] out there is justified because we did things wrong, the first critic is myself and I take responsibility. You have to understand it and learn from it. Some [criticisms] are fair and others are nonsense.”
Ancelotti believes Real Madrid still have a chance in the competition.
“We have never said that we are going to win it,” he stated. “But we can compete and in three weeks we will compete more against PSG, there is no doubt.”
