Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski admitted some frustration after their 1-1 draw at Barcelona.
The Pole struck in the first-leg of their Europa League playoff.
“The result is good, though we should’ve done better in the second half, as we went too deep and risked losing it,” Zielinski told Sky Italia.
“It’s a good away draw, I think the second leg in Naples will be a bit different. We knew it would be difficult playing against Barcelona at Camp Nou. They have so much quality, we had to run hard, but we are satisfied with the result.
“This is partly our own fault. We need to keep the ball and continue to put our ideas forward, instead we run so hard that we lose energy and then it becomes difficult to create something upfront.”
Asked about scoring at the Nou Camp, the Pole said: “It’s wonderful! My family came here today, my father and brother. My brother is a huge Barcelona fan, so it was great to score in this stadium tonight.
“We need a bit more quality, to keep the ball more and make our fantastic fans happy. We showed several times already that Napoli can fight it out with the biggest teams. I hope it will be a great night.”
