Shameful or not, this is simple, people will just do anything for money. The conversation about age cheating has re-emerged after FC Porto’s central defender Chancel Mbemba was embroiled in a saga.
A Portuguese outlet claimed that Mbemba has used four different dates of birth in his life and career.
One major report said Mbemba told friends he is 31 years old while his current registration at Porto says he is 27.
Some of the famous examples over the years include Brazil’s Carlos Alberto. He decided to minus five years from his age.
Another case, which is the most staggering, in the Indian footballer Gourav Mukhi, he became a sensation in his homeland by becoming the youngest-ever goalscorer at 16, before it was later discovered that he was in fact 28 years old.

- Angel Cheme (Ecuador) – claimed he was three years younger, also lied about his real name

- Gourav Mukhi (India) – claimed to be 16 years old, but was 28 years old.
