Wout Weghorst was happy with his Burnley debut in their 0-0 draw with Watford.
The former VfL Wolfsburg centre-forward was handed a full Premier League debut on Saturday.
“It was a great experience for me. The first time here in the stadium with the fans in the Premier League and I loved it. The most important thing missing though was the three points. We had opportunities [in the game] but it wasn’t enough,” Weghorst told the club’s website.
“Of course, we were playing for a win and unfortunately, it stayed a draw.
“I knew it before but it [the Premier League] is more direct in the play. The physicality, the tempo and the intensity are higher, the levels go up and down. It was just a great experience.”
On Manchester United’s visit to Turf Moor this week, the Dutchman added: “It will be a big game for all of us. Every game from now until the end of the season will be a big game because we need the points. Today, we got a point and a clean sheet. It was a great performance for us, and we move onto Tuesday.”
