The 2021/22 English Premier League season is nearing a close and we can expect a dramatic finish.
With nine games to go, only a single point separates leaders Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool.
The defending champions seemed to be cruising to glory at the start of the year after a good run, but their advantage has since been washed away by a resurgent Liverpool that has won the last nine matches.
Wednesday’s 2-0 win at an in-form Arsenal was yet another reminder that Jurgen Klopp and company mean business and will push Pep Guardiola’s men all the way.

Chelsea currently sit third on the table, and unless the two sides totally crumble, which is highly unlikely, there is no chance Thomas Tuchel is going to end the Blues’ wait for a league crown.
The troubled London club are 11 points off leaders Man City, but with a match at hand, meaning they have a chance of slashing it to eight.
Race for the top four
Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham lead the race for a Champions League spot as they sit fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively.
Arsenal though have an advantage over United and West Ham, having played two matches less.
Tottenham and Wolves are further down the table and have an outside chance of pushing for a European spot.

The relegation battle
Just like the top, the bottom is equally congested, with many of the teams trying to escape the chop.
It seems Norwich will be playing Championship football again next season, unless a miracle happens in the coming weeks.
The Canaries are at the bottom of the table with just 17 points, with Burnley, in 19th on 21.
Watford and Leeds United boosted their hopes of escaping the cut with important wins last time out, and could perhaps build on the same in the coming weeks.
Everton lost their fourth consecutive match last time out, and are seriously slipping towards the Championship, not unless Frank Lampard and company do something, real quick.
