According to David Ornstein (The Athletic), United are keen on the player as they want to fill the void left by Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard as they continue to chase other players to strengthen the team.
Eriksen was signed by Brentford in January, and he propelled them to a 13th-placed finish in the Premier League while the club wanted to keep him longer, there have been reports that the player wants to play for a bigger club as he feels he still has a lot to offer.
