Craig Dawson struck deep in injury time to help West Ham rescue a point in a 2-2 draw against Leicester City in an English Premier League match played on Sunday.
Jarrod Bowen opened the scores for the Hammers before Youri Tielmans equalised just before the break.
Ricardo Perreira then gave Leicester the lead midway through the second half, and it seemed as though it would be enough to give them the points until Dawson struck.
West Ham got off to a perfect start as Bowen gave them the lead in the 10th minute, brilliantly darting into the box to latch on to a cross and buried the ball into the bottom right corner, leaving the goalkeeper stunned.
There were few chances in between, with the hosts getting the chance to equalise from the spot after Aaron Cresswell was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the box.
Tielmans then stepped up to easily bury it past the keeper to ensure the match went into half-time tied at 1-1.
The second half was a balanced affair, but it was the Foxes that got the lead in the 57th minute when Pereira burst into the box to get on the end of a whipped-in cross from Harvey Barnes and scored magnificently from close range into the top right corner.
There were few chances from both sides, and it seemed as though the goal could have won the match, until Dawson rose to meet a corner and displayed his eye for goal as he coolly planted a header from close range into the right side of the goal.
The draw boosts the Hammers’ European ambitions, as they sit fourth on 41 points, one ahead of Man United in fifth.
