The countdown to the new Premier League season has officially started following the publishing of the 2022/23 fixtures.
Ahead of the new campaign, here are key dates of all competitions, deadlines, and possible finals.
FA Community Shield
The annual domestic curtain-raiser, the FA Community Shield sees the Premier League winners take on the FA Cup winners.
Accordingly, Man City face Liverpool at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium on 31 July, kick-off 19:00 (EAT).
Summer transfer window
The summer 2022 transfer window for Premier League clubs opened on 10 June 2022 and will close at 23:00 (UK) on 1 September.
Premier League fixtures
The new season kicks off on Friday, August 5, with the first match at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace entertains Arsenal.
The season will conclude on 28 May.
UEFA Champions League
The scheduled dates for the group stage fixtures are:
- 7 September
- 14 September
- 5 October
- 12 October
- 26 October
- 2 November
The final will be on 10 June 2023 at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul.
World Cup
The World Cup begins on 21 November and will end on 18 December with the World Cup final at the Lusail Stadium, Qatar.
FA Cup
The FA Cup third round is scheduled for 7 January 2023 and the third and fourth rounds will feature replays if necessary.
The FA Cup final will take place on Saturday, 3 June at Wembley Stadium.
Carabao Cup
Most Premier League teams will enter the Carabao Cup at the third round stage which is scheduled for Wednesday, 9 November.
The final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 26 February.
Women’s EUROS
Takes place between Wednesday 6 July and Sunday 31 July.
