It’s a Super Saturday set of fixtures and we have prepared a short slip for you!
FC Koln vs Bayern Munich
An impressive 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin last time out pushed Koln to within two points of the Champions League places as the Billy Goats continue to impress in the top-flight this season. They’ve only lost one of their last nine matches at home, and they may be quietly confident that they can cause problems to a Bayern side that lost 2-1 to Gladbach last time out. Serge Gnabry netted a brace in the reverse fixture which took his tally to 11 goals in eight H2S with Koln, so they’ll need to have a plan for the German winger.
TIP: Bayern to Win
Norwich City vs Everton
Norwich City’s last five Premier League games have come and gone without them finding the net, but they might fancy their chances of getting on the score sheet against a leaky Everton defense. The Toffees have conceded first in 13 of their last 16 matches overall, and their last six have seen goals at both ends. Rafa Benitez’s side will be supremely disappointed if they don’t pick up three points here.
TIP: Both Teams to Score
Salernitana vs Lazio
Only four teams – Salernitana, Empoli, Spezia, and Cagliari – have conceded more goals than the 39 Lazio has shipped so far this term, yet only Inter, Atalanta, and Milan have scored more than I Biancocelesti. Simply put, Lazio’s matches contain goals and lots of them. Rock-bottom Salernitana has lost their last five at home and it’s likely to be six this weekend.
TIP: Lazio to Win
Aston Villa vs Man United
As a player, Steven Gerrard ended on the winning side in 10 Premier League matches against Man United, a joint-record along with Nicolas Anelka, John Terry, and Petr Cech. However, including caretakers, only one of the last 18 managers has won their first Premier League match against the Red Devils, with Mikel Arteta winning with Arsenal in January 2020. Villa has scored in all nine of their home league games this term, also doing so in last term’s corresponding fixture – though they eventually lost 3-1. Gerrard will be desperate for his side to not concede first, considering that they have lost all seven EPL games this campaign in which they’ve trailed at half-time.
TIP: Both Teams to Score
