Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland does not have a specific release clause in his contract.
Media reports over the past two years have stated that Haaland would have a categorical release clause of €75 million that kicks in during the summer of 2022.
However, Goal.comnow state that it is a “gentlemen’s agreement” that the Norway star can depart if a mega offer arrives.
There is no suggestion that Dortmund would back out, as the club believes in keeping its word to players and their agents.
However, the club do intend to ensure they get as high a transfer fee for Haaland as possible.
Manchester City, Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been linked with the 21-year-old.
