Everton boss Frank Lampard is likely to face an FA charge regarding his comments on referee Stuart Attwell.
Lampard was furious about some of the decisions that Attwell made in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
The Toffees lost the game 2-0, and now find themselves in the relegation zone.
Post-game, Lampard spoke about how penalties are never awarded at Anfield, with an incident involving Anthony Gordon and Joel Matip irking him.
Lampard said: “If it is Mo Salah at the other end, you get a penalty. I have played in teams in the top half of the league, you get them.”
According to Daily Mail, Lampard may be charged by the FA for questioning the integrity of an official.
Everton have officially complained to the PGMOL (referee’s association) regarding Attwell’s decisions in the game.
