Cooper anticipating more transfers for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper says they will be adding more players to their squad.

Forest have now made 16 signings since getting promotion to the Premier League.

Wolves attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is their latest recruit, with the deal all but done.

“Yes, I think there will definitely be some more ins and outs,” Cooper told reporters.

“I don’t know who and how many.

“There’s still the best part of a couple of weeks to go, and a lot can still happen. It’s a bit of a secondary focus on a day to day basis, because you are working with the players who are coming in every day and we’re enjoying our work.

“We’re building a team and a culture, and continuing with our idea of how we want to play. Our focus will always be day in, day out with the boys who are coming in to work.

“Yes, there are certain areas we want to strengthen. But if I say where, it’s just going to add to certain speculation.

“There are certainly some areas we want to strengthen in all of the lines throughout the pitch. But it’s getting the right player and the right character that fits into our way of working. But that’s what we’re committed to doing.

“I feel like we’re down the line on maybe a few things. Hopefully we can finish the process off of getting them through the door.

“And naturally, there’s going to be some players who will leave as well. It’s not a negative situation, some guys need to leave to further their careers – whether it’s on loan and they come back or they leave on a permanent basis. They are normal transfer processes of ins and outs.”
