Cristiano Ronaldo had a decent first season back in the Premier League with Manchester United.
United may have struggled but, despite the club being in turmoil, Ronaldo managed 18 Premier League goals in 30 games.
He finished the season as the third top goalscorer in the league.
However, despite his success, he was statistically only the fourth best striker in England’s top tier in 2021/22, per WhoScored.
We’ve used the website to rank every Premier League striker from worst to best based on their stats in the 21/22 season.
Players have to have played over 500 minutes and spent the majority of their time on the pitch as a centre forward.

Silva has been the worst rated player in the Premier League this season. The Portuguese forward did not manage to hit the back of the net once in 22 appearances.
Armstrong made the £15m move from Blackburn to Southampton last summer but he struggled in his first season at the club, scoring just two Premier League goals.
It’s perhaps surprising that Pukki is rated so low given he hit the back of the net 11 times in the 21/22 campaign.

Despite Nketiah’s good form to end the campaign, he was only the 27th best striker in the Premier League in 21/22, based on stats.
Burnley signed Weghorst in January with the hopes he could score the goals to keep them up. He failed to do so as he hit the back of the net just twice.
Werner may have played his last game in a blue shirt. The German has had a tough time upfront for Chelsea since signing for the club two seasons ago.

Lacazette lost his place at Arsenal towards the end of the season. It’s obvious that the club need to strengthen up front in the summer.
Lukaku struggled in his first campaign back at Chelsea, although stats suggest he has had a decent – but not spectacular – campaign.
Still, with just eight Premier League goals to his name in 21/22, it’s fair to say he hasn’t hit the heights expected of him.

Arsenal are interested in signing Jesus and the stats suggest he would be a good signing. Despite not much game time in 21/22, the Brazilian performed well when on the pitch for City.
Toney had a brilliant season back in the Premier League with Brentford, scoring 12 times.
But by far and away the best striker in 21/22 was Kane. He started slowly but was incredible for the second half of the campaign. He ended the season with 17 goals and nine assists.
