Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is delighted with his current form.
Mamardashvili has established himself as first-choice at VCF since the New Year.
He said, “I’m working hard every day to develop more and more for Valencia CF. I didn’t expect it, but I want to show more for the future. I want to be a better goalkeeper. This opportunity that they have given me is one that I want to make the most of.
“I want to learn the language here. Every day is a challenge. I am only focusing on working hard. I live on my own in Valencia. Some days I take a walk through the city, but right now I am only focusing on the cup final. People recognise me on the street now. They ask for photos and autographs. It’s a big thing for me. Thank you to all the Valencia CF fans for their affection and how nice they are to me. I really like it.”
On coach Jose Bordalas, he added: “Bordalás is a great professional. I’m a big admirer of his. I’m very grateful for the trust that he has shown in me. I want to thank him. I love working with him.”
