Valencia coach Jose Bordalas has welcomed the club’s statement hitting out at his critics on Monday.
Bordalas was barracked by his own fans during the weekend draw with Athletic Bilbao, which pushed VCF to make a statement on the criticism that has been aimed at their over recent months.
Ahead of their clash with Real Betis, Bordalas said: “The club informed me through the press officer. I think it’s great.
“It is not a show of support for the coach, but for Valencia CF. As you all know, we feel harmed, not by specific actions or specific decisions, but by a host of things that you already know about, and that I am not going to repeat now because we are focused on trying to finish the season in the best possible way. That is our intention.
“We have all been able to verify it. I am not going to talk about specific actions because we have already commented on them, but we see actions in some games that have cost us red cards, and sometimes they are not even given as a yellow. Both the club and ourselves don’t want them to give us anything, but we also don’t want them to take anything away from us.”
