UEFA has confirmed that 30,000 complimentary tickets will be distributed to supporters for this season’s Champions League final and other club tournaments.
The governing body characterized it as a ‘gesture to thank the game’s lifeblood for their unwavering support during the pandemic.
There will be 10,000 complimentary tickets distributed to each club for the Champions League final in Saint Petersburg. Additionally, UEFA is providing 6,000 complimentary tickets to the Women’s Champions League final in Turin — 3,000 to each team.
Each team participating in the Europa League final in Sevilla will receive 4,000 complimentary tickets (a total of 8,000) to distribute to its fans, and there will be an additional 6,000 complimentary seats for the inaugural Europa Conference League final, 3,000 for each team.
As an additional gift to supporters, UEFA has announced that ticket prices for the men’s Champions League final would be fixed at €180 and €70 until 2024.
“Football fans are the lifeblood of the game and we thought it would be a nice way to recognize the difficulties they have experienced over the last two years and how they nevertheless still managed to support their teams and live their passion even when away from the stadiums,” UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said.
“Fans are playing an integral part in the development of football, and we must ensure that loyal traveling supporters can attend historical moments for their cherished teams at affordable prices.”
