Manchester United young defender Ethan Laird is on his way to Bournemouth on loan.
The 20-year-old has been out loan at Swansea, but the deal has been ended in order for him to join the Cherries, with the deal now subject to registration.
Laird has been impressive for the Swans in the first half of the season, making 21 appearances, claiming four assists, and helping to secure eight clean sheets.
The defender, who has been at United since the age of 10, made his senior debut in 2019 and has so far made two appearances.
He will now join Scott Parker’s side, who are top of the league table after 25 games played.
Laird joins Teden Mengi through the exit door at Old Trafford.
The highly regarded defender has joined Birmingham City on loan until the end of the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season.
The 19-year-old made his senior debut for his parent club in the Europa League against LASK in August 2020.
Mengi was out on loan at Derby County last season, but an injury affected his progress.
“I am delighted to be here. [I am] ready to work hard and kick on for the rest of the season,” he said after signing with the Blues.
Adding: “It was important for me to try and find what was best for me, which is here at Blues, and to just kick on and get as many games under my belt and improve as much as I can as a player and as a person.
More players are expected to go out on loan through the month of January.
