Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon says he’s improved since arriving from Real Madrid over 18 months ago.
Reguilon feels he’s stronger for his decision.
He said, “I think to take the decision to come here to the Premier League, to fight to become a better player, because it’s not easy to leave your family, your friends, your girlfriend in Spain and come here for one dream. I think for me, that’s my biggest challenge.
“I want to show to all people that I can play in the Premier League, for me that also was important and now I’m so happy here.”
Reguilon also admitted that he didn’t expect the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to be as incredible as he now knows it is.
“My expectation was high [of the stadium] but when I arrived, my expectations went out and now it’s more than high.
“This year I’m learning to stay calm. I’m a person who’s too emotional sometimes in football and also in my private life.
“I have to control myself and say, ‘Sergio, relax sometimes. Take life with more calm.'”
