Despite leading Milan to their first Scudetto since the 2010/11 season, Alessio Romagnoli had to bid farewell following the expiration of his contract with the Rossoneri.
In a report, Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Fulham have emerged as an interested party in the pursuit of Alessio Romagnoli this summer. It is believed that Fulham have offered the defender a four-year contract that includes a net salary of €4 million per season.
The former Milan captain is available in the market for free. Marco Silva likes the profile of the player and the experience that the 27-year-old holds under his belt.
Although the report understands that the centre-back is currently evaluating the offers on his table, a general feeling suggests that he is more inclined to stay in Italy.
In that case, a club from Serie A will come forward to secure Romagnoli’s services, as insisted by Di Marzio.
Lazio, as reported on various occasions, have shown a keen interest in landing the boyhood fan of the Rome-based side this time. However, the gap between the player’s demands and the club’s offer has resulted in a possible deal hitting a stalemate.
