PLAYER RATINGS | Lille 1-2 Monaco, Aurélien Tchouaméni brilliance puts Monaco second

« Back

Ligue 1 21/22, Round 36 – 6/5/22

LILLE – 1 (Gomes 69)

Leonardo Jardim, 5

Zeki Çelik, 4

Sven Botman, 6

José Fonte, 5

Tiago Djaló, 3

Gabriel Gudmundsson, 4

Amadou Onana, 4

Benjamin André, 5

Jonathan Bamba, 5

Timothy Weah, 5 – He didn’t quite do enough for a 6, and was outshone creatively by substitutes Zhegrova and Gomes, but he worked hard throughout and dropped off the front to progress play usefully on occasion. Played with the positivity many others, and the game itself, lacked, despite little end product.

Jonathan David, 3 – Offered very little goal threat and was unable to link up with his fellow LOSC forwards, failing to show the same hunger or intensity as Weah or Bamba. He was withdrawn before the hour. It’s now one goal in 19 games.

Others: Gomes 7, Zhegrova 6, Bradaric 5, Lihadji 5.

MONACO – 2 (Tchouaméni 42, 75)

Alexander Nübel, 5

Ruben Aguilar, 6

Guillermo Maripán, 5

Benoît Badiashile, 5

Caio Henrique, 5

Aurélien Tchouaméni, 9 – Dominated and won the game with a brace, despite anchoring the midfield. The first was a powerful, skidding effort from the edge of the area and his spectacular long-range second won a tight encounter. He also managed an impressive 18 defensive actions, by far the game’s most.

Youssouf Fofana, 6

Vanderson, 6 – He was a constant nuisance in pressuring Lille defenders, especially Djaló, before the break and won the ball back before playing a clever reverse pass to create the opener. However, he tired after half time and was a little wasteful in possession later on.

Aleksandr Golovin, 5

Kevin Volland, 6

Wissam Ben Yedder, 6

Others: Jakobs 5, Boadu 5, Lucas 5.
