OFFICIAL | Paul Pogba joins Juventus

Juventus have finally announced the signing of Paulo Pogba, who became a free agent at the end of last month following the expiry of his contract at Manchester United.

Pogba has reportedly signed a four-year with Bianconeri. Emerging from the academy of Manchester United, the midfielder moved to Juventus for the first time in 2012.

After staying in Turin for four seasons, he decided to return to Manchester. He joined the Mancunian side for a then-record transfer fee of €105 million plus bonuses. Over the last six years in Manchester, he won a Europa League and EFL Cup with the Red Devils.

Although he always remained a star name at the club, his performances did not match the level of expectations and the price United had to pay to regain his services.

Inconsistency in Pogba’s game made him a debatable topic among English critics. On the other hand, the reported feud with Jose Mourinho and continuous criticism following the lengthy spell of injury absences took him closer to quitting United on various occasions.

At Man United, Pogba made 232 appearances, garnering 39 goals and 51 assists in all competitions. When his contract with United eventually expired in June 2022, he opted for a return to Juventus, where he will be donning the prestigious no. 10 shirt vacated by Paulo Dybala.
