Roma boss Jose Mourinho slammed the Giallorossi players in the dressing room following their loss to Inter in the Coppa Italia.
The Roman outfit took a 2-0 loss on Tuesday and were, as a result, knocked out of the Coppa Italia. The UEFA Conference League remains their only chance of winning silverware.
After the loss to Inter, report Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho had blasted the players for the performance. As per the outlet, the manager said: “I want to know why, playing against Inter, you s*** in the first ten minutes?”
“I want to know why for two years you have shown yourselves to be small against the big clubs. If we are small, the referees treat us as children! They treat Roma as a child. Inter is a super team, you had it in front of you and instead of finding the right reasons you sh** yourself!
“The biggest flaw of a man is the lack of b***s, of personality. Are you afraid of games like this? So go play in Serie C where you will never find teams with champions, top stadiums, the pressures of great football. You are people without b***s. The worst thing for a man!”
Milan beat Lazio 4-0 in the quarter-finals of the competition to advance to the next round yesterday. Fiorentina take on Atalanta, while Juventus play Sassuolo to seal a spot in the semi-finals today.
Roma are seventh in the league currently and their previous game saw them get held to a 0-0 draw by Genoa.
