Milan keep tabs on Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar

Current Serie A title holders Milan are expected to undergo a massive overhaul during the summer transfer window ahead of the next season.

According to a report from Daniele Longo, the Rossoneri are assessing their squad and this could lead to a departure of a few key names to make room for new faces. Right-back Sergiño Dest couldn’t impress during his tenure as a loan player from Barcelona and he is set to be sent back to the Catalan giants. Goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu played a makeshift role in the absence of first-choice goalie Mike Maignan for most of this season but despite his efforts, he has been informed that his contract won’t be renewed.

Milan legend and now technical director Paulo Maldini is browsing the market for potential opportunities and he has already identified a few players who could be feasible to go for in the summer. The situation of Marco Asensio at Real Madrid remains one to watch as the 14-times European Champions still haven’t provided him with a contract extension. Ligue 1 side Lyon’s Houssem Aouar is regarded as one a target and Milan are expected to face huge competition if they go in to sign the attacking midfielder.

Director Frederic Massara likes Eintracht Frankfurt’s centre-back Evan Ndicka and wants the club to assess the transfer as La Liga giants Barcelona are also said to be contemplating a move for the Frenchman.

Players like Ante Rebić, Ballo Toure, Brahim Díaz, Divock Origi, Tiémoué Bakayoko and Yacine Adli are expected to face the axe to make way for a shuffling in the Rossoneri pack as they aim to reach greater heights next season.
