Marcel Sabitzer is enjoying life at Manchester United: “He loves this English toughness.”

Marcel Sabitzer is enjoying life in the Premier League with Manchester United, Sport1 reports.

The Austrian international only joined Erik ten Hag’s side last month and has settled in quickly and featured heavily already. After just four weeks, the midfielder has appeared three times, including one in the starting 11.

Sabitzer joined on loan from Bayern Munich without an option to buy. However, the current Bundesliga champions will be open to selling the 28-year-old for around €15m-€20m.

Julian Nagelsmann signed the midfielder from his own former employer RB Leipzig in 2021. However, Sabitzer never really broke into the starting 11 and only featured coming off the bench more often than not.

The player’s advisor Roger Wittmann told Sport1: “He loves this English hardness! It was clear from the start that the Premier League was a great fit for him. He’s an aggressive player. He does exactly what he can there. And that’s what’s needed there.”

He continues: “At Manchester United we see Marcel from Leipzig again. I’m very happy for him, what’s next in summer? We’ll see when the time comes.”

Should Sabitzer continue to impress, it’s likely that Manchester United will pursue a permanent deal for the Austrian.
