L’Équipe report today that the upper management at Paris Saint-Germain were disappointed by the booing from fans during yesterday’s 3-0 win over Bordeaux, which was in particular aimed at Lionel Messi and Neymar.

With regard to the Argentine, it was privately commented that the fans did not “measure” the luck they have to see such a legend of the game play for their club.

Despite the club’s fears of unsavoury scenes in the wake of the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, the fans’ reaction was nevertheless largely restricted to chanting and booing players.

Their discontent comes after the Collectif Ultras Paris’ statement which notably called for president Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s departure. Nevertheless, yesterday lunchtime NAK was spared from the hostility shown towards the players and sporting director Leonardo.

On Neymar’s part, the Brazilian privately lamented a form of “ingratitude” on the part of the fans, all the while understanding the disappointment after the midweek defeat.

The two former Barcelona teammates were the first to leave the pitch at full-time. Manager Mauricio Pochettino would go on to state that “I am sad about what I saw today” and that the squad were all affected by the supporters’ reaction.
