Liverpool have received up to £15.4 million after selling Takumi Minamino to AS Monaco.
The Japan international has signed a four-year contract with the Stade Louis II stadium club.
Per the Daily Express, Liverpool may put those funds towards signing a midfielder.
The Reds have improved the squad by signing Darwin Nunez and youngsters Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho.
They are, however, still to invest in the central midfield area of the team, which may be in need of a refresh.
Any funds from sales will go into manager Jurgen Klopp’s transfer kitty.
