Leicester City captain Kasper Schmeichel says there’s great excitement amongst the players ahead of the Europa Conference League semifinal at Roma tonight.
Wth the aggregate score locked at 1-1, Schmeichel says everything is to play for.
“It’s a great experience for so many players, and it’s the kind of moment you can look back on in a day and take advantage of when you need it,” Schmeichel told Leicester’s website.
“It all contributes to the mentality that you build, and we try to create a winning mentality by being in these situations and reaching finals where everything is put on one board.
“When you get to these finals, and you have been there before, you can draw on those experiences. It’s always a great experience to play in places you’ve never played before and I’m really looking forward to it.
“It gives us a great opportunity to play a European final. It’s great for the tournament, the clubs involved and the fans. It’s another away trip we can experience together. It is very welcome.”
