Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was left delighted with their 3-0 defeat of Bologna.
A Ciro Immobile penalty and Mattia Zaccagni’s brace struck the goals for Lazio.
“It was a good performance, more in line with what we’ve seen over the last two months than the Coppa Italia match against Milan,” Sarri told DAZN.
“Zaccagni has a lot of quality, unfortunately he had several physical problems this season. People say he doesn’t attack the space enough, but that’s exactly how he scored his first goal. He listens, is eager to learn and has a great deal more potential left to give.
“There’s no point trying to turn him into a Lorenzo Insigne clone, he has to play that role like Zaccagni.”
“The important thing is that the team has done well over the last few months. We lost against Sassuolo, Inter and Milan between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, but other than that the side seems to be more consistent.
“We are improving and can improve even more.”
