Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is set to join Barcelona.
That’s according to Lluis Carrasco, the campaign manager for Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s successful run for presidency.
The Norwegian is said to be a prime target for Laporta this summer although just how the club will finance such a deal remains a mystery.
Nevertheless, with most of Europe’s elite keen on the young striker, his signing would be a major coup for the struggling Catalans, and Carrasco’s comments have sparked excitement over the possibility.
“Haaland is going to Barcelona,” Carrasco said on Gerard Romero’s ‘El Jijantes’ show.
“I know that the president loves Erling Haaland, he knows that he is a symbolic player, a reference, and a flagship of this project and he can dominate European football for the coming years.”
He then explained how Haaland would arrive as the star of Barcelona, before stating that “it wouldn’t be the case [if he were to move to] Real Madrid.”
