RMC Sport report this morning that Kylian Mbappé is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over his sponsorship commitments with the club’s partners.
The forward had made the unprecedented move of boycotting the French squad’s commitments on Tuesday morning over his unwillingness to associate his image with certain brands.
PSG are open to finding arrangements with the 23-year-old, even more so should he sign a new contract with the club.
In the case of Les Bleus’ sponsorship obligations, Mbappé’s entourage are contesting the image rights deal signed by every international before their first cap, in exchange for €25,000 per match.
His representatives explain that they have discussed the deal numerous times with the FFF over the last three years so that its “conditions allow for football’s image to be developed further, respecting the values that the institution might carry, but also those of each player of the squad.”
FFF president Noël Le Graët has stated that he would like to meet with the PSG man to discuss the issue, and that he is not planning on inflicting sanctions over the boycott.
