Nicolo Zaniolo has emerged as a transfer target for Juventus amid this summer transfer window. However, Roma are asking for a transfer fee of around €50 million for the Italy international.
A report from La Repubblica claims that Juventus are unwilling to spend €50 million on a player who has already undergone two major knee operations.
The report claims that it is Roma’s preference to offload Zaniolo this summer more than Juventus’ intention to land the creative playmaker. Juventus are interested in signing the player but will not go “crazy” for his signature.
Juve have offered Arthur Melo plus a fee between €20-€25million for the 23-year-old Italian this summer. The Giallorossi management values the player much higher.
Jose Mourinho doesn’t want the former Inter man to stay at Roma, which has resulted in Juventus being confident of completing a deal for Zaniolo sooner rather than later.
It was reported previously that the player had reached a four-year agreement on personal terms with Juventus. But, as per the latest report, the Piedmontese side is not close to doing the same with Roma over a potential summer transfer for Nicolo Zaniolo.
