Juventus are pondering upon replacements for Bayern Munich and Chelsea target Matthijs de Ligt. Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães appears to have impressed the Old Lady.
According to journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Juventus made fresh contact with Arsenal for the signing of Gabriel Magalhães on Sunday.
The report understands that Arsenal are asking for a transfer fee of around €40 million for the centre-back. On the other hand, Juventus believe that they could snatch a discount.
The Bianconeri management will be looking to amass a transfer fee of around €80 million plus bonuses to reach the €90 million mark from the sale of the Dutchman.
The transfer fee accumulated by the departure of Matthijs De Ligt could reportedly lead Juventus to buy a centre-back and Nicolo Zaniolo.
With Inter having already chosen to pursue the signing of Gleison Bremer and Kalidou Koulibaly’s situation getting complicated over the last few days, Juventus now see Gabriel as one of their top transfer targets for the defensive department.
There is also interest in Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenković, but he is not currently thought to be a like-for-like replacement for De Ligt.
