Juventus earmark West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca

Juventus have opened their tabs and earmarked West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca as an option within the front-line ahead of next year’s campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Tuttomercatoweb, reports that the Bianconeri will most likely have to sacrifice at least one striker, and it seems that Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic is the primary suspect.

Since arriving from Fiorentina over a year ago, the 23 year-old has only managed to score 17 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions. His frequent injury crises have raised question marks regarding the Old Lady’s decision to submit a bid of €70m to La Viola.

As per the Serb, many European giants are eager to attain his signature and match his €80m price-tag such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Newcastle.

The Milanese based newspaper suggests that the black and white of Turin view Scamacca as an ideal signing, having already played for Sassuolo and amassing 16 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions throughout his five-year stay with the Nerroverdi.

Despite his underwhelming run of form since joining Premier League outfits West Ham last summer, Juventus are eager to join Milan in the pursuit of bringing him back on Italian soil.
