Juventus boss Max Allegri reveals Paul Pogba can feature against Torino

Paul Pogba could feature for Juventus in the Bianconeri’s game against Torino that is scheduled for tomorrow night, coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed it during today’s press conference.

Ahead of the game against their city rivals, the Juve boss stated:“He feels better and tomorrow he’ll be called up. If needed, he will play. He can’t play much but he’s good. He hasn’t played in 315 days, he can’t be a starter. I talk to Paul, he needs to understand that he must get back on track with the right mindset in order to help us”.

Pogba signed with Juventus as free agent last summer but he has never played with The Bianconeri in this season.

He suffered a knee injury in July and decided to avoid surgery in order to follow a conservative therapy. The treatment did not bring the expected results so Pogba underwent a selective external arthroscopic meniscectomy in September and missed the World Cup in Qatar.

On January 29th he was called up for the first time as Juventus faced Monza. He was an unused substitute and a couple of days later coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that the Frenchman suffered some muscle fatigue.

During today’s press conference, Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that Federico Chiesa will be part of the squad too for tomorrow’s clash while Arkadiusz Milik will be back only after the international break. The striker is out due to a medium grade injury in the semimembranous muscle in his left thigh.
