James Milner set to leave Liverpool in the summer

Stalwart James Milner is set to leave Liverpool in the summer when his contract comes to an end.

Milner has been at Liverpool since signing as a free transfer in the summer of 2015 from Manchester City and has spent seven years on Merseyside where he is currently the third longest-serving member of their squad.

The player is yet to sign a new deal with his side with all directions pointing out a potential departure when the season ends.

There have been talks of the player joining Jurgen Klopp’sbackroom staff at Liverpool but other reports indicate that the player wants to spend more time with his family when he hangs his boots.

Milner who spent his youth career at Leeds United has gone to represent Swindon Town, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and now Liverpool. He has gone to win the Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup and will be hoping to add to this tally before he can call it a day.
