Paris Siant-Germain have reached out to Sassuolo with a keen interest in Gianluca Scamacca this summer. But there has not been much movement from their side lately.
Speaking to the mics of Sky Italia (as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio), Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali declared that he had not talked with PSG about the deal concerning Gianluca Scamacca in the previous ten days. He said:
“It would be nice if a Sassuolo player could remain in our league, like Locatelli. It goes without saying that in Serie A there is no negotiation for Scamacca. there are some negotiations with foreign clubs, while we haven’t heard from PSG for 10 days. The market values are not high, they are high for Serie A but not for the foreign teams we speak to.”
As reported previously, the Neroverdi value the player at around €50 million this summer, given that the player signed a renewal with the Italian club last season. He has a contract at Sassuolo until June 2026.
PSG have reportedly extended their offer to €40 million. But the deal has seemingly hit a stalemate if the words of the Sassuolo chief are believed to be true.
West Ham United are thought to be another club chasing the services of the 23-year-old Italian forward.
