Despite already sitting at the summit of the league and possessing a great deal of quality in their squad, Inter are monitoring the transfer market very carefully as they are eager to seize significant opportunities to bolster their roster further for a very low cost.
Calciomercato reports, via FcInter1908 reports that the Nerazzurri have four transfer targets listed with contracts expiring, which would allow Inzaghi’s side to sign them at an extremely inexpensive value within the market.
Mehdi Taremi
With a significant lack of goals up-top outside of star forwards Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, Inter have reignited their interest in Iranian international Mehdi Taremi. As it stands, Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez have recorded a combine total of a single goal and assist since their arrivals in the summer thus far.
Consequently, the Nerazzurri are prepared to plot a move for the 31-year-old forward as Taremi has made it clear that he does not intend on extending his stay with the Portuguese giants beyond this year’s campaign.
Despite cross-city rivals keen on Taremi as well, it seems that Inter are ahead of the Rossonerri in the race to acquire the talisman’s services.
Piotr Zielinski
Whilst contract negotiations between Napoli and the Polish international continue to stall, the Benemata are keen to enter the pursuit for Piotr Zielinski.
So far this season, the 29-year-old has amassed a total of two goals and two assists in 12 league-games for the Partenopei. After playing a predominant role in last year’s title-winning campaign, Inter view Zielinski as an ideal signing given his familiarity with the league and his profile suiting Inzaghi’s tactics.
With Serie A giants Juventus also keen on signing Zielinski, it will be very difficult for Inter to compete for the Polish star.
Tomas Soucek
Following an impressive season last year, the 28-year-old holding-midfielder has impressed Inzaghi greatly, causing Inter to pan out a possible offer for the Czech international in the case that he does not want to renew his contract with West Ham.
The Czech star was pivotal in helping the Hammers clinch the Europa Conference League over Fiorentina last season in on his home soil in Prague.
Tiago Djalo
Whilst Inter had been monitoring the Portuguese defender since last January, the Nerazzurri are determined to acquire the 23-year-old’s services ahead of next season, given his impressive run of form with Lille.
Despite several Premier League clubs and Ligue 1 teams swarming around the rising Portuguese star, Inzaghi’s side have maintained contact with the hopes of obtaining a concrete agreement, permitting Djalo to arrive at the San Siro as an option within the back-line in next year’s campaign.
