Eintracht Frankfurt reject RB Leipzig’s opening offer for Jesper Lindstrøm

Eintracht Frankfurt have rejected RB Leipzig’s opening offer for Jesper Lindstrøm, according to Bild.

Leipzig’s interest in Lindstrøm is well known and the Saxony club submitted an initial offer of €25m. However, this was subsequently rejected by Eintracht, who value Lindstrøm between €30m and €40m.

Lindstrøm has a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2026 and the Dane’s former club, Brondby, will receive 15% of any fee that SGE collect. Eintracht’s Markus Krösche also confirmed the interest from Leipzig but is currently relaxed regarding the situation.

But per the report, it’s likely that Lindstrøm will leave Eintracht in the summer after two years. With seven goals and four assists in the Bundesliga this season, the Denmark international is ready to take the next step in his career, and with Oliver Glasner leaving his role as head coach, SGE likely will have have to plan without Lindstrøm.

In addition to Leipzig, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have also shown previous interest in signing Lindstrøm, but it appears that Leipzig are in pole position having submitted an opening offer, despite it being rebuffed.
