Chelsea’s next 10 fixtures: Is the Blues’ Premier League title challenge really over?

Chelsea were considered one of the Premier League titles at the start of the 2021/22 season, after all, they are the European Champions and finished last season strongly following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues started the season brightly and led after matchday 3, and for weeks seemed to be favourites after they, alongside Man City and Liverpool pulled away from the rest.

A poor run partly due to injuries and positive Covid cases punctured their tire, falling off top spot and dropping further down in the title race.

With 24 matches played, the Blues find themselves 10 points off leaders Man City, who have a match at hand.

Fixtures

Thomas Tuchel’s last match before the international break ended in a 2-0 win over London rivals Tottenham, giving the Blue army some hope that maybe, all is not lost.

Can they recover from their recent slump to ascend to the top again?

The Blues’ next seven Premier League games are all against teams in the bottom half of the table.

In fact, Thomas Tuchel’s team will only face two teams from the top half of the table in their next 10 matches.

They have the players and the manager to guide them and can build on their win over Spurs last time out.
