Christian Pulisic believes Chelsea can do a double next season after managing to conquer Europe last season.
A turnaround that coincided with Thomas Tuchel’s arrival saw the London club go all the way in Europe, beating Manchester City 1-0 in the final.
They could have easily done a double but lost the FA Cup final against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City.
Speaking in an interview with the Standard, Pulisic was optimistic the Blues can win the Premier League and the FA Cup next season.
“I don’t know if it’s totally sunk in yet, it was such an incredible achievement,” Pulisic said.
Adding; “To be the champions of Europe, it wasn’t an easy journey. We’ve seen now that we can compete with those top teams, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t feel that way,”
“They [City] were one of the best teams last season and to beat them a few times gives us confidence. We have such a strong squad, so I would say anything’s possible.”
Pulisic has had his fair share of injuries during his time at the club but is hopeful he can remain fit through the coming campaign.
“Staying healthy is definitely a big target of mine, and trying to be available as much as I can to continue to help my team and make a big impact,” he added.
Chelsea open their Premier League campaign with a home match against Crystal Palace, and will also play Villareal in the UEFA Super Cup in late August.
