Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has publicly admitted that the club management is facing difficulties in extending players’ contracts amid growing concerns regarding the club’s ownership.

In an interview with La Repubblica, the former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that the sanctions on Roman Abramovich have led to uncertainties over the futures of several superstars at Chelsea.

The German manager said, “Jorginho and Kanté are due to expire in a year and situations to be avoided. Rudiger too, the same (expires at the end of the season).

“We hope to resolve the situation by the summer. Of course, now the moment is a bit difficult … The Abramovich question is not destabilizing us. it was not so (a few months ago)”.

Juventus have reportedly been interested in Jorginho’s services for a long time. He is thought to be a missing piece of the puzzle for Massimiliano Allegri’s side. The 30-year-old midfielder’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2023, while Rudiger, another summer transfer target for the Old Lady, will become a free agent next summer.
