Burnley assistant manager Ian Woan believes they need to buy this month.
With the Clarets struggling at the wrong end of the table, Woan says the team is in need of strengthening.
He said, “We are in an environment where excuses do not belong, but we are super pressured this week, where the manager, a coach, six players are out with corona and we have two or three out with injuries. Maxwel Cornet is gone (for the African Cup of Nations), so we have reached the limit.
“I think all coaches would answer yes if asked if they would like to add something to the squad in January.
“We are no different, so our recruitment staff and owners are working hard to do that. It is clear that we want to strengthen ourselves.”
