Barcelona president Joan Laporta has left the door open to a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
He was at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s presentation and was asked about Haaland.
“We’re occupied with the immediate present,” said Laporta. “We have a season that’s been complicated and we want to keep fighting for La Liga and the Europa League. We’re focused on that. Players that are interesting, the sports department deals with that. We’re living with realities, although I am a romantic.”
Laporta was happy with Aubameyang’s arrival and revealed former Barca Deco, now an agent, has joined the football staff.
“We’re bringing in a top-level player who made an effort to be here. We have to be grateful. When our finances are healthy we have to help those who have helped Barca.
“He’s 32 and he has goals. I’m very proud of the football department with Mateu Alemany at it’s head, the technical secretary with Jordi Cruyff and Deco.”
