Barcelona attacker Torres: I would kidnap Dembele in Barcelona

Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres hopes Ousmane Dembele signs a new contract.

The Spanish international was asked about the potential contract renewal of his attacking team-mate Ousmane Dembele.

“I would kidnap him in Barcelona. It’s a good club. It’s one of the best in the world,” he replied when asked about the Frenchman.

“But there are things that are none of our business. It’s his decision. In whatever he decides, I wish him the best.”

Dembele has been a crucial part of the team recovering some of their form in recent weeks, with the two attackers teaming up to create and convert chances.

“I think the players up top have to score goals and give assists. I have to participate. I’m more of a winger than a striker. If I have chances and I make them, it’s better for me and for the team,” Ferran reflected.

Following his heroics on Sunday evening against Sevilla, Ferran was also asked about his colleague Pedri, and the immense talents of the midfielder.

“Those of us who train with him every day are not surprised,” he confessed.

“He is a luxury. Every day he surprises me because of the quality he has and the humility with which he carries himself. He can define an era and today he can be one of the best in the world.”
