Aston Villa are eyeing River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
According to reports in Argentina, Villa are keen on landing the player with their Premier League rivals Everton, West Ham United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also said to hold an interest in the 21 year-old.
El Crack Deportivo claims that River manager Marcelo Gallardo has one eye on the summer transfer window with the 46 year-old ‘worried’ about Fernandez’s future with Real Madrid also linked with a move for the youngster.
Fernandez made 40 appearances in all last eason, his breakout campaign, with half of those coming for River Plate after a loan spell with Defensa y Justicia.
A defensive midfielder, Fernandez is highly-rated at River and they fear he could be the next player to leave for pastures new in Europe.
