Anthony Elanga in line for Sweden national team call up

Following his scintillating form for his club, Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga is in line for his call-up to the Swedish national team.

The 19-year-old has been one of the most consistent players under interim manager Ralf Rangnick and with reports rife that England are looking to convince the player to be their own, the Swedish Football Association wants to act quickly on the situation.

The player scored the all-important equalizer against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League to put United in the driver’s seat before the second leg with the Swedish national manager Janne Andersson saying he was impressed with Elanga’s overall game.

Elanga who is eligible to play for Cameroon too through his father has represented Sweden at junior levels and it was just a matter of time before he got a senior team call up now that there were teams hovering around for his services.

Elanga is represented by the ICM Stellar Sports group, which manages Gareth Bale, Jack Grealish, and Luke Shaw, and there gave reports that the player’s future will only be issued by the new manager of the club set to arrive in the summer.
